Film Week!

Last week we set up our film base at Moira Furnace and set about a 6-day shoot – sorting out cameras, sound and questions to interview local residents with links to the key local industries – Pits, Pots and Pipes! Big thanks to the South Derbyshire Mining Preservation Society,  Glyn, Keith, Pam and Roger.

 

We also took the kit out into the landscape to film the sites where the industries once were, and were able to locate the sites and really understand the landscape’s dramatic change over the last 30 years. The interviews and walks led to us talking about what its been like growing up here, and our favourite places – which led to detours to Bumpy Woods, The Bog of Eternal Stench and Big Den!
